Parson's Bend is one of the locations on the delivery route of Ernest Otter's Store Boat. He took Peanut, Jelly, Ootsie and Bootsie to visit there in "Easy Pickings." At the time, Parson's Bend was having a severe babbleberry shortage. The kids thought that they might sell their babbleberry confections to make money, but ended up giving them away for free.
